Sugati Business Development Executive

Role Description

Based in our London office, the Sales Executive role will report directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for achieving monthly sales targets through proactive sales activity. The main sales focus will be selling Sugati, our cutting-edge, comprehensive solution for businesses within the travel sector.

You will strategically prospect for new opportunities through outbound calls, effective use of social media platforms and engaging with existing customers to establish business opportunity leads. Targeting senior level decision makers, you will deliver effective demonstrations, both online and in person, and manage the sales process from lead-inception to ongoing client relations.

Hunting for new business is vital in this role and you will need to be hungry to develop your own pipeline and establish relationships with clients. By providing a consultative sale using tailored pitches, a good knowledge of the product, and attention to detail service, you will understand your client’s needs allowing you to close deals in order to overachieve on your revenue target.

 

Main Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Sugati-CRM sales and achieving monthly targets through effective, hands-on ownership of the entire sales process
  • Monthly reporting on sales activity and achievements to company directors
  • Liaise with other senior staff to contribute to the development of sales strategies and setting of sales targets
  • Work with the Director of Marketing to develop and manage an online sales campaign
  • Discuss employer’s or client’s requirements, carry out surveys and analyse customers’ product reactions
  • Proactive outbound sales using phone, email, social media, in-person activities
  • Develop and manage new business prospect database
  • Creation, organisation and coordination of tailored sales proposals
  • Delivery of sales demos, either face to face or online when fully trained in the product
  • Contract administration
  • Effective relaying client’s requirements to project team
  • Online lead generation
  • Compile and analyse sales figures, prepare proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities, and undertake market research
  • Preparation of sales contracts and related documentation
  • Handle new customer accounts
  • Recruit and train junior sales staff
  • Internal project briefing
  • Produce reports and recommendations concerning marketing and sales strategies for senior management
  • Keep up to date with products and competitors

Your profile

  • Passionate, supportive team player with an enthusiastic, collaborative approach
  • A confident communicator with a keen interest in the travel sector and a passion for technology 
  • Experience of working within a travel company, Ideally you have sold holidays before or at least know the concept of what’s involved in selling a hotel.
  • Presentable and be confident enough to demonstrate the solution to CEOs and C-Level executives.
  • Confident, resilient and self-motivated
  • Target driven and able to work under pressure with a high degree of integrity
  • Quick learner able to establish a strong sales pipeline in an innovative market
  • Highly committed, reliable and trustworthy
  • To hit the target numbers, you must be comfortable making phone calls, speaking and presenting, particularly on the phone and via video link.
  • You will report to a Sales Director and will deliver ambitious target numbers on YoY basis.
  • Sales training and technical product training will be provided.
  • Happy and confident to write up the proposals and reports.

Experience

Essential:

  • Proven track record in consultative selling and developing and/or managing new accounts
  • A strong negotiator and relationship builder with the ability to overcome objections in a confident, professional manner
  • Resourceful, proactive relationship builder with the ability to close large deals
  • Experience of working in a customer facing role
  • High aptitude for quickly learning the product and associated technology
  • Worked in a professional team environment
  • Presentation skills
  • Sales experience within the travel sector, especially Tour Operators

Desirable:

  • Experience in Travel or Tech sector
