Salesforce Developer

Role Description

As a member of the Project Delivery Team, you will report directly to the Head of delivery and will play a key part in ensuring that all CRM and App solutions are delivered to client expectations and meet Appssential’s high standards. You will provide a pivotal link between the Project Management Team and Quality Assurance Team, ensuring quality standards are met and the solution delivers on the project brief, prior to client delivery.

You will become part of the outstanding Development Team to understand the brief, assisting the Project Manager in raising concerns and things to be aware of when writing the design specifications, before working closely with the quality assurance team to thoroughly test the solution. The main focus of the role will be on quality Development. However, you will be involved throughout all stages of the project.

As a valued member of Appssential you will also have the opportunity to participate in new product development and will be encouraged to actively contribute towards improving our services and products to ensure we meet our ambitious growth plans. It is important that you have the right attitude, are willing to work hard and have a good career progression in Appssential. You must not have any freelance association once fully employed by Appssential. Appssential expects you to progress with the company and we will provide training (including Salesforce Certifications) and support to assist in your personal development.

Experience

- 4+ years experience using Salesforce.com
- Dev 401 / Platform App Builder certification
- Excellent javascript skills
- Experience with AngularJS is desirable
- Experience building Lightning Components is good to have
- Proven track record of working within a professional effective team
- Ideally successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree
- Platform 1 or Platform 2 Certification is good to have
- Sales Consultant and Service Cloud Consultants is nice to have

You are expected to complete the necessary certifications after you have been employed by Appssential

Technical Skills and Experience

Must be able to write code in Salesforce Best Practices and always be aware of Governor limits
Development using VF pages, Apex classes, Triggers
Creation & implementation of Custom Objects, Custom Apps, Page Layouts, Related Lists, Tabs, Validation Rules, Workflow Rules, Sharing Rules, Outbound/Inbound Messages
Writing Apex Code using SOQL, SOSL and SalesForce Schemas
Writing thorough Unit tests
Being able to create Force.com sites and communities
Must be able to work on Integration project using REST & SOAP APIs
Building apps for publication on the Salesforce AppExchange
Must have a habit of doing a smoke test before passing the work to the QA or the project team you are working in.
Must be able to design, configure, develop, test and deploy the solutions
